Earlier, he met his trusted ally Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of the JUI-F party at Raiwand House, who showed his full support and said that they will not let the Prime Minister be the sole victim of the opposition. Together they discussed a range of issues including the ToRs and the nomination of officials in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Sharif instructed Fazl to contact opposition parties over the issue. Later, while speaking to the media, Fazl said that Panama Leaks was a conspiracy against the government. He said that the matter had been sidelined around the work but was still been used in Pakistan for political purposes.
Fazl, who is also the chairman of the Kashmir committee in the National Assembly, said that they have decided to address the issues of aggression and violation in Kashmir by Indian forces at every international forum. He said Pakistan stood in solidarity with Kashmiris at every moment.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were also present on the occasion.
