Nawaz risking Pakistan’s integrity over ‘personal contacts’: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Facing intense criticism following return to the Parliament after 224 days, PTI chief Imran Khan said his party joined the House after formation of judicial commission by the government to probe election rigging, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media outside the Parliament, he said he had no hopes from the Parliament. We demanded scrutiny of four constituencies but our demand was overlooked. That’s the reason I am hopeless from the Parliament, he added.

He said Pakistan could be in danger as PM Nawaz Sharif has personal contacts and business interests with Saudi Arabia and he is pushing country into dangerous war.

“There should be ethics in a Parliament. The government first constitutes judicial commission after much delay and it asks us to come to parliament and then subjects PTI to castigation,” he uttered.

What was that drama in the House, he asked.

The language used by a Minister [Khwaja Asif] was witnessed by everyone. Nawaz Sharif was sitting beside his minister. Didn’t he know what the minister is saying, he asked.

Khan said every political party had said that general elections of 2013 were rigged. Aitzaz Ahsan even gave us a white paper on rigging. “How this assembly could be legal after rigging charges by parliamentarians?”

PTI chief said government itself tarnishing its image by using such a language.

Turning his guns on MQM, he said he persisted over his statements that MQM chief is a killer, who got PTI leader Zahra Shahid killed.

MQM is now also spreading terror in the assembly, he said.

He hailed Aitzaz Ahsan for his speech in the House. He demanded that PM Nawaz Sharif to speak truth to the nation on Yemen situation.

He said the entire nation would stand by Saudi Arabia if Makkah and Madina were put at stake.

How we could play mediator’s role if we take part in the war, said Khan.

The PTI chief warned that Yemen war could turn into Shia-Sunni conflict if the situation was not handled properly.
