PTI chief Imran Khan said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the federal government was conspiring against Pakistan. Imran also said that when the RAW agent was arrested, the government did not issue even a single statement about the issue.

Imran also said that the current government was defaming Pakistan army on the global stage. Imran Khan’s remarks come at a critical time when the civilian government is under pressure and seems to be on the back foot after the disclosures of the Panama papers revealed Maryam, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz own offshore companies.

According to ARY News’ correspondent Abdul Qadir, Imran had also said that PML-N ministers and government representatives were busy pointing fingers and criticizing Shaukat Khanum hospital but were silent when it came to issuing a statement regarding the arrest of Kalbhushan Yadav, the RAW agent. Imran also revealed that the message the government conveyed to Indian authorities was that Pakistan’s civilian leadership wanted friendly ties with India but the army was not in favour of it.

Today, in an unprecedented move, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif dismissed 11 army officers from service on charges of corruption. Those sacked for corruption include one major general, one Lt. Gen, five brigadiers, and three lieutenant colonels.
