Nawaz Sharif will be held responsible for terrorism, thievery: Qadri

LAHORE: Tahir-ul-Qadri, the chief of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has announced to start a protest movement against Nawaz Sharif government from 20th August (tomorrow), ARY News reported.

Qadri has urged the people to come out to the streets and show their support. He said that Nawaz Sharif was making full efforts to absolve himself from the Model Town incident. However, we will not let him succeed and will seek revenge for the loss of lives of party workers, Qadri said.

He said that Nawaz Sharif has used the resources of the nation for his personal wealth, and the people will hold him accountable for every single penny. He deplored the state of corruption in Punjab and said that every contract was being sold for hefty commissions.

The firebrand cleric said that the Prime Minister and several of his allies who want to see him stay in power were now preparing to leave the country or had shifted their families abroad.

Whether they seek asylum abroad but once the doors of justice are opened, they could even be brought back from overseas through the Interpol. “Now no one will escape from justice under the law,” he said.

Addressing to Nawaz Sharif PAT leader said that “We will hold you accountable, not just for Model Town incident, but the terrorism and thievery which you have committed against the people.”

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed of Awami Muslim League (AML) has also announced to launch a protest movement against the government.
