Nephew of former chairman Senate dies in Islamabad firing

After an altercation and scuffles between two groups in high security area of Sector F-10 of the federal capital, armed men opened fire resulting in death of Barrister Fahad Malik, who said to be a nephew of former chairman Senate Muhammadmian Soomro.

A friend of deceased, Tariq Malik was also injured in the incident and transferred to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in a precarious condition.

Two other people Raja Arshad and Hasnain Malik also sustained minor injuries in the firing incident.

The cause of the firing incident is yet to be established and police inquiring into the incident, police sources said.

According to police, dispute over a girl was resulted in the incident.

The FIR of the incident, which took place in the Shalimar police station jurisdiction, not yet registered.
