Nepra decreases per unit electricity tariff by Rs. 3.83

ISLAMABAD: National Energy Production and Regulatory Authority (Nepra) decided to cut per unit electricity tariff by Rs. 3.83, ARY News reported.

The revised rates will not be applicable to the consumers of K-Electric (KE) and those consuming less than 300 units of electricity.

The tariff were revised due to fuel adjustment in the month of December.

Central Power Purchasing Authority (CPPA) said that power generation in Guddu and Nandipur power plants was less than expected due to which significant decrease in power costs occurred.

However, CPPA had only suggested per unit power cost cut of Rs. 2.80.
