In a letter, Mr. Jillani praised the contribution of Prof. Nergis Mavalwala and said her research would have far-reaching impact on the humankind.
He said the scientist’s achievement would be a beacon for millions of women in Pakistan.
In a message couple of days ago, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had said Nergis Mavalvala is indeed a source of inspiration for Pakistani scientists and students aspiring to become future scientists.
The Prime Minister also directed the Ministry of Science and Technology to devise a framework within a span of one week to facilitate Pakistani scientists in their scientific pursuits.
