“The PPP has demonstrated patience in the last five years and the party’s tolerance is now wearing thin,” he said while addressing a press briefing in Islamabad.

The PPP’s senior leader said he was not expecting MQM to behave in an intense manner despite Khursheed Shah’s clarification the same day he had made those remarks.

In an apparent response to MQM’s protest against Khursheed Shah’s use of abuse for the word ‘Muhajir’, Ahsan admitted that Muhajirs served the country due to their skills and competence.

He was of the view that the Constitution stipulated mechanism for formation of new provinces.
