In his reply to former English cricketer Mike Artherton on Twitter, Drew tweeted that the former player’s news piece summed up the importance of the sport in the country in Pakistan and would love to see international cricket return to Pakistan.

International cricket has been non-existant in Pakistan since Tehreek-e-Taliban militants attacked the Sri Lankan team back in 2009.

Zimbabwe became the first team to tour the militancy-hit country in 2015 after the attack when the side played three Twenty20 (T20s) and three one day internationals.
