Newly formed JIT on Model Town incident to meet tomorrow

LAHORE: The newly formed joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the Model Town carnage, will meet in Lahore on Wednesday (tomorrow), ARY News reported.

Sources told that, the JIT headed by the CCPO Quetta, Abdul Razzak Cheema will be including Colonel Ahmed of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Muhammad Ali from the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Two officials from the police service, AIG Vigilance, Shehzad Akber and the DSP CIA, Khalid Abu Bakr will also be a part of the five-member JIT.

It was further said that during the first meeting, officials will be presented past reports pertaining to the Model Town incident, after going through which the members will lead their way to probe the tragic incident.

On the other hand, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) officials have already rejected the new JIT under the supervision of the CCPO Quetta, while they also declined to appear before it.
