NGO director arrested for anti-state activities

MULTAN: A director of a non-governmental organization (NGO) was arrested on Friday on charges of indulging in activities against the state, ARY News report.

According to sources, the director of the NGO named Zia-ur-Rehman has been accused of working against the country.

A case has been filed against Rehman under the Anti-National Activities Act.

It should be noted that Interior Ministry had declared an American NGO “IMap” outlawed after which the offices of the organizations were sealed and their records were seized.

The NGO representatives was asked to wind up its business within 15 days and leave the country.
