Nine military courts to be set up in first phase

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to set up nine military courts in first phase of the implementation of National Action Plan on counter terrorism, ARY News reported.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), three military courts each will be established in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtonkhwa, while Sindh will have two military courts, followed by one in Balochistan.

The ISPR statement said the courts will soon start working.

It is learnt that the military could become operational once Interior Ministry start sending cases to them.

However, sources told that military courts will start operating from next week.
