Nine Zero visit costs JUI-F resignation by senior party official

KARACHI: Displeased with Maulana Fazlur Rahman’s visit to MQM headquarters Nine Zero, Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh secretary general Rashid Mehmood Soomro Tuesday resigned from his party post, ARY News reported.

According to details, senior members of JUI-F could not stand the visit of Maulana Fazlur Rahman to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine Zero.

JUI-F Sindh chapter’s secretary general Rashid Mehmood Soomro today stepped down from his party position.

Speaking about his decision, Soomro said Maulana Fazlur Rahman prior to his Nine Zero visit didn’t take the party into confidence.

He said he had reservations on the move and so he is resigning from party post.

Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, Maulana Fazlur Rahman along with a delegation visited Nine Zero and held a meeting with MQM representatives, after being assigned the role of an arbitrator by the government over MQM resignations issue.
