ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has approved computerisation of arms licenses for the citizens of Islamabad.
According to district government record, 47,000 manual armed licenses are being used, which will be computerized in the first phase.

The computerized licensing system will not only facilitate the users, but demolish the culture of bogus licensing as well.
The Interior Ministry in April 2014 said that 50 percent of the arms licenses in the country were not verified.

The the Ministry of Interior said it was correcting the record and figures of arms licenses, prior to taking any step against illegal arms or unverified licenses.
