Nisar briefs PM on security situation, MQM resignations

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Friday and discussed with him the security situation in the country.

The Interior Minister apprised the Prime Minister about his meetings with the British leadership during his recent visit to the United Kingdom.

Sources told that Mr. Nisar informed the PM about progress on Karachi operation.

They also discussed the issue of MQM resignations and reservations of the following arrest of Dr. Asim Hussain.

Meanwhile, former Naval Chief retired Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad and discussed matters of mutual interests.
