The heated exchange of words prompted DG FIA to leave the meeting in Lahore, who headed to his home leaving his vehicle behind.

During the meeting, Chaudhry Nisar said that he had not appointed the DG in Mazharul Haq Kakakhel case, nor in another important case which the federal agency is working on.

The interior minister also expressed extreme displeasure for issuing details of meeting to media while the session was underway.

Sources said that removal of corrupt and favorites fumed the interior minister. DG Amlish, during the meeting, stopped the minister from asking inadequate questions that plunged other higher-ups into silence.

The DG told that action is being taken against officials troubling masses in the name of inquiry for years and causing corruption.

In return, Nisar said let it the way it is, according to sources, but the DG bemoaned injustice being done to people. At this the minister asked DG Amlish, “Given the circumstances, even I cannot work with you”.

This was the point where the DG FIA left the meeting, which also had Secretary Interior, Chairman Nadra, DG Passport, National Police Academy chief and others higher-ups as attendees.
