Nisar for extension in Rangers’ powers after mutual consultation

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Monday held a telephonic conversation with Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah and suggested that the notification of extension in Rangers’ special powers should be issued after mutual consultation, ARY News reported.

The interior minister contacted Qaim Ali Shah as the summary of extension awaits approval by the CM. Nisar suggested the Sindh government to issue the notification after mutual consultation.

CM Shah agreed with the proposal saying that after a meeting of the Sindh cabinet, the requisition pertaining to extension in Rangers’ powers will be forwarded to the federation.

He added, “The text of the requisition will also be conveying a positive message”.

The chief minister told Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan that the invitation for him to visit Karachi is still valid, to which the latter said he will soon come to the megapolis but first he seeks a positive advancement with regard to the notification of extension.

Nisar promised that all efforts will be made to eliminate reservations of the provincial government.
