The notorious gangsters in rural Rojhan area are embroiled in a fierce armed clash with the Police since the last eighteen days in which six policemen have lost their lives.
At least 18 policemen are still hostage which the gangsters have vowed to kill if the siege around them continues. The Police have sought help from the Army to recover their kidnapped policemen and assist in the operation.
The Punjab government has vowed to clear the area of all criminals within the next 24 hours, and said that operation will continue till they lay down their arms and surrender or be killed.
