No-kissing policy to cost Fawad Khan upcoming movie?

According to Filmfare, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan has been dropped from the upcoming film Battle for Bhittora due to his no kissing policy.

Fawad Khan seemed to be on a roll these days. Ever since bagging a Filmfare award for the Best Debut Male actor, Fawad has bagged roles opposite renowned Bollywood actors and actresses. However, Fawad had frankly refused to shoot bold scenes with his co-star Alia Bhatt for Kapoor and Sons. Fawad had also refused to shoot intimate scenes with Sonam Kapoor for their upcoming movie Battle for Bhittora.

However, there seems to be trouble in paradise for the young actor. If reports from Filmfare magazine are to be believed, the Pakistani heartthrob has been dropped from Battle for Bhittora. According to the same source, Fawad’s co-star in Kapoor and Sons Sidharth Malhotra is in talks with producer Rhea Kapoor to star in the film. Though whether Rhea is in talks with Sidharth to merely add him to the cast alongside Fawad or replace the Pakistani actor, still remains unclear.

Battle for Bittora is a political drama which is being produced by Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor. Khoobsurat was also produced by Rhea Kapoor and starred both Fawad Khan and Sonam as the lead pair. Fawad was to play the role of a prince in Battle for Bittora.

Fawad had made it clear to directors and producers that he would not like to shoot intimate scenes, for the simple matter that it would offend his core audience. Whether or not there is any truth to this news, only time will tell. However, credit must be given to Fawad for sticking to his principles even though the future lays bright ahead of him!
