Shoaib Akhtar, speaking at a ceremony in Dubai, said that the cancellation of peace talks between Pakistan and India led to the series being delayed.

“He also said that politics and sports should not be mixed together. However, there is enough tension between the two countries on the borders and playing series in such atmosphere is not right”, Akhtar said.

The “Rawalpindi Express” also said that unique talent emerges from the two South Asian states whenever they play the sport and the people love whenever they play each other.
