Gossip mongers can stay rest assured that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be tying the knot anytime soon. Anushka Sharma herself denied the rumours and stated that so far, the actress had no plans of getting hitched to the Indian batsman. This is what the statement on her behalf said:-

“There is no truth to the stories/rumours about Anushka Sharma’s impending wedding. Currently she is busy and happy with her work commitments. She has always been open about her life and would appreciate it and request everyone to wait for her to make announcements about her life instead of speculating.”

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have been in a relationship that has been well documented in public and also made fun of at times. She has been spotted sporting horrified expressions numerous times from the stands, whenever Kohli gets dismissed cheaply. At times, Anushka also has to face the ire of fans who blame Anushka for being Virat’s ‘distraction’.

Anushka Sharma had admitted last year in December that she was indeed in a relationship with the cricketer.

“We are not hiding anything. We are two normal young people in a relationship,” she had said. “Being public figures, your relationship becomes a topic of entertainment for people, and for me that’s not a comfortable situation. It’s something personal and pure for me and I don’t want to put it out for someone out there to have a cup of coffee and discuss it. That makes me uncomfortable.”

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were spotted in pictures with her boyfriend and his father, which was assumed to be a house-hunting spree. Soon, rumours started circulating on the internet that the 27 year-old Bollywood star was about to get married to Kohli, sometime in 2016.
