The Assistant Commissioner, Captain (R) Waqas issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Asif Nawaz Butt better known as DJ Butt over repeated absence from hearings of a case registered against him of violating the Amplifier Act.
The station house officer (SHO) of Secretariat police station has been ordered to arrest and produce DJ Butt before the concerned court on September 3.
A case was lodged against DJ Butt for violating Section 144 and Amplifier Act during Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) sit-ins.
The court in its verdict had mentioned that in case of absence from hearings Butt will be declared an absconder.
