Operation against Chotu Gang will be brought to its logical conclusion: IG Punjab

LAHORE: Inspector General of Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera has said that the sacrifices of police officers who laid down their lives during the operation against Chotu Gang will not go in vain, ARY News reported.

IG Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera visited the homes of the cops killed in the crackdown against Chotu Gang in Rahim Yar Khan’s tehsil of Rajanpur and offered Fateha. He said that the police department will never forget those who laid their lives during the operation.

He added that provincial government has increased the compensation for each killed policeman from Rs. 5 million to Rs. 7.5 million whereas one member of the family will also be provided a job.

Operation against Chotu Gang will be brought to its logical conclusion, Sukhera said.

He added that Punjab Government will continue to provide full salary to the family of the killed policemen as well as the government will also bear the educational expenses of their children.

“The families of the police officers killed in the operation will not be left alone in this time of grief,” IG Punjab said.
