COAS resolved to root out terrorism

NOWSHERA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday visited the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), Pabbi Hills, ARY News reported.

The DG of Inter-Services Public Relations, Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa in his tweets said that the batch of 500 personnel completed its training on Wednesday. The batch included 200 personnel from Police/Elite Force from provinces, 200 troops of the FC/Rangers, SPD and ANF, and 100 ex-servicemen.

Senior leadership of the Pakistan Army and police as well as home secretaries from the provinces were present on this occasion.

General Raheel Sharif praised the training of the personnel in order to rid Pakistan of terrorism.

“Army doing its best to train all LEAs and to build their capacity to chase terrorists out of their hideouts whether in urban or remote lands,” said the Army Chief.

He added that intelligence sharing and cooperation by the masses in indicating suspects are must to pre-empt incidents.

The COAS said that we have resolved to free Pakistan of all kinds of terrorism and urged that the operations against terrorists must go on without any fear.
