Owais Shah was held in Karachi for 12 days after kidnapping: police

KARACHI: Investigations into the kidnapping of Owais Shah, the son of Chief Justice Sindh High Court, revealed that he was held in Karachi for more than twelve days after his kidnapping.

This was disclosed by DIG Munir Sheikh who said the initial plans of the kidnappers was changed after the strict vigilance and checking by the police and Rangers at exit points of the city after the kidnapping.

Owais was then taken to Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after more than twelve days. Sheikh also confirmed that there were four men who had kidnapped him from an upscale locality of Karachi.

Three men put Owais in a car which already had a driver inside, and drove around the city for more than one hour. He said that Owais was blindfolded during the journey and cannot remember the route or provide any further details.
