Owais slams Imran for undue criticism on PPP leadership

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Owais Muzaffar has said that these days an old man, pretending to be a youngster, criticizes the PPP leadership, he must witness today that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the only leader of the youth in Pakistan, ARY News reported.

Addressing a mammoth rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Owais Muzaffar said when Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan, she knew that her life was at great risk, but she did not take any threat into account.

He added when two massive blasts rocked the PPP rally near Karsaz on October 18, our ‘Jiyalas’ cared not about themselves; rather they rushed towards their leader to confirm her well-being.

Muzaffar without naming Imran Khan, said that your workers vanish from the scene, even if a few stones are pelted at your caravan.

He asked the PTI chairman to first produce workers passionate enough to match PPP’s Jiyalas, then come and talk about its leadership.

The PPP leader continued slamming the PTI leadership, saying that they boast of resolving the issues of Pakistan, they should first set right their own province.

He suggested the PTI leadership to first resolve the longstanding issues of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and then come and contest the elections on the basis of their performance.

Owais Muzaffar said that the PTI secured majority of seats in KP in the General Elections 2013, but it lost the by-elections against ANP in NA-1 Peshawar right after 45 days, which indicated its performance.

He also criticized Imran Khan in the strongest of words for calling PPP workers as dead bodies.

Moreover, Muzaffar said, “Our leadership-phobia must be keeping Khan restless at nights”.
