Pak-Saudi military exercise pre-scheduled: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday said that the Pak-Saudi joint military exercise Samsam-5 being held since March 19 in Taif, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) was pre-scheduled, ARY News reported.

According to details, the DG ISPR, Major General Asim Salim Bajwa on Monday tweeted that the, “Pak-Saudi joint military exercise Samsam-5 in Taif was prescheduled and the exercise is held every year.”

There are 292 Pakistani troops participating in the exercise and this is not an operational deployment, he stated.

The DG ISPR further wrote that last year the exercise was held in Pakistan, near Jhelum.
