Pakistan, Belarus agree to strengthen existing ties

ISLAMABAD: The second round of annual consultations between Pakistan and Belarus was held in Islamabad on Thursday, during which both the countries agreed to further strengthen the existing ties, said the Foreign Office.

The Pakistan delegation was led by Additional Secretary Mr. Nadeem Riyaz, while the Belarusian side was led by their Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Valentine Rybakov, said the FO spokesperson.

During talks, the two sides discussed the entire gamut of bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen the existing ties in political, parliamentary, economic and cultural spheres.

The talks were held in a cordial atmosphere in the spirit of mutual cooperation and a frank exchange of views on regional and global issues took place on the occasion.

The next round of consultations between Pakistan and Belarus will be held in 2016.
