BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that Pakistan and China have been friends through good and hard times, ARY News reported.

In his message on the launching of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) website, he said that the bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries are based on mutual support and trust.

The Chinese president said that the bilateral ties define the cooperation and friendships of the two countries.

The tradition of frequent high-level visits and meetings on matters of interests and major concerns were welcoming, Jinping stated.

He said that the two countries avail the project to take forward their bilateral cooperation with its focus on Gwadar Port, energy and infrastructure projects.

He stressed on the need of mutual assistance and strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.

The Chinese President said that his country will provide 2,000 training opportunities for Pakistanis and train 1,000 Chinese language teachers for Pakistan.

He stated that the country will cooperate with Pakistan to fight unconventional security threats for providing a trustworthy security guarantee for economic cooperation and common development.
