Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang to discuss bilateral relations and investment in energy and infrastructure projects.
In his media talk after the meeting, Premier Sharif expressed desire for strong economic and trade partnership with China. He said his visit of China will help in resolution of the energy problem of Pakistan.
Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang appreciated the Pakistani Premier’s visit of China and said that the visit will help in implementation of the economic corridor project.
The agreements were signed in fields of energy and infrastructure under Economic Corridor Project, and other sectors.
The agreements include solar power generation at Quaid-e Azam Solar Park, easy loan for laying optic fibre between the two countries, mining of 65,00,000 metric tons of coal in Block-2 of Thar, 870 MW Suki Kinari Hydropower project, 1320 MW coal power project in Sahiwal, and an MoU for 100 MW Jhimpir wind power project.
An agreement was also signed to establish an Industrial Park in Faisalabad, and promote economic and technical cooperation.
