Pakistan concerned over cancellation of Samjhota Express operation

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Friday summoned acting Indian High Commissioner Raghuram and expressed concern over yesterday’s cancellation of Samjhota Express operation, ARY News reported.

DG South Asia Dr. Mohammad Faisal voiced Pakistan’s concern over the suspension of Delhi-bound Samjhota Express on Thursday.

“The Government of Pakistan has taken all necessary steps to accommodate the stranded Indian passengers, who were not permitted to cross the border yesterday,” he noted.

“We expect the Indian side to make utmost efforts to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future and facilitate the travelers from Pakistan and India,” added Faisal.
