Pakistan condemns continued detention of Kashmiri activist

In a statement the Foreign Office said that he has been slapped with draconian law ‘Public Safety Act’ and arrested on flimsy grounds, and that human rights organisations including Amnesty International have urged India for his immediate and unconditional release.

The statement said that Pakistan further demands India to desist from stifling the voices of human rights defenders and media personnel in held Jammu and Kashmir.

It said that Pakistan note with deep concern that India continues to engage in committing worst form of state terrorism in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Parvez was prohibited by India to travel to Geneva to participate in the ongoing session of UN Human Rights Council.
