Chances of Pak-India cricket series come to a full stop: sources

KARACHI: The hopes of much talked-about Pak-India cricket series this year have virtually died down, a source told ARY News.

It is learnt that the Pakistan Cricket Board could make announcement to this effect on Monday. A source in the cricket board said the series between the two countries in December was unlikely due to time constraints.

“PCB will likely try to find another window earlier next year for the probable series.”

India Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj was in Pakistan last week to attend Heart of Asia Conference and rumblings were going rounds that an announcement regarding resumption of cricket series could be made. However, nothing in this connection happened.

PCB chief Shehryar Khan on Friday said Indian cricket board had two days to clarify its position on the series, but the BCCI never responded or issued any statement, forcing Mr. Khan to clarify his own position on what it seemed to be a one-sided affair.
