Pakistan disapproves use of proxy against any country, says Raheel

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Friday said Pakistan disapproved use of proxy against any country and would neither allow any proxy to be used against Pakistan, ARY News reported.

“I would not rest till terrorism is eradicated from Pakistan. Facilitators of terrorists within and outside Pakistan are upset now,” he said while addressing participants of a course at National Defence University in Islamabad.

The army chief address focused on professional matters, internal and external security situation of the country and his vision of an enduring peace within Pakistan and the region.

The COAS reiterated to bring peace in the country by uprooting terrorism.

He emphasized Pakistan’s resolve and determination to confront global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism and cleanse Pakistan of this menace.

Raheel Sharif said during operation Zarb-e-Azb, Pakistani nation has emerged as the most resilient nation of the world.

“Modes of future wars have changed. Enemies of the country are encouraging terrorism in Pakistan. Pakistan Army possesses ability to thwart any conspiracy,” he said.
