According to a press release by Foreign Office, the donation was made on the special instructions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a gesture of goodwill and solidarity with the people and Government of Afghanistan.
“Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kabul handed over the donation to Afghan Deputy Minister/Deputy Chairman of the Afghan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) Aslam Sayas at Kabul Airport in the presence of other Afghan officials”, the release read.
The Afghan officials have expressed their gratitude and thanked the Government of Pakistan for the generous donation.
Foreign Office also stated that Pakistan sent relief assistance for the victims of avalanches in Afghanistan.
