Pakistan eye second win in Azlan Shah Hockey Cup

IPOH: Pakistan will be eyeing to overcome defending champions New Zealand in their second match of the 2016 Azlan Shah hockey tournament being played at Ipoh city of Malaysia, ARY News reported.

Pakistan got off to a winning start in the tournament as they thrashed Canada 3-1 in the opening match thanks to goals by Arslan Qadir and Mohammad Tousiq.

The green shirts are training hard to secure their second win in the tournament.

Pakistan Captain Mohammad Irfan has said that an impression should not be given that his side does not possess the skill to overcome the defending champions.

“We have achieved success before. This time we will come up with a better plan,” Irfan said.
