Pakistan to face host India in Kabaddi World Cup climax

Pakistan men’s Kabaddi team will face up with archrival India in the summit clash of Kabaddi World Cup 2014 on December 20 at Sports Stadium, Village Badal, Sri Mukatsar Sahib in Bhatinda, India.

Pakistan team thrashed neighboring Iran recording a convincing 56-28 triumph in the semifinal clash held at Dirba, Sangrur. Meanwhile, India routed England by 54-33 in the second semifinal.

However, Pakistani women lost to Indian counterparts in the semifinal clash held at the same venue. The host won the match quite comfortably by 47-19 score. Pakistan women team will now clash with Denmark in a third place play-off encounter today at Barnala.

After the match, Pakistan Kabaddi men’s team captain Shafiq Chishti dedicated the team’s huge triumph to victims of Peshawar tragedy. He said that Pakistan team lamented after they heard the news of the tragedy.

Pakistan women skipper Madiha Lateef also said that her squad was shocked due to Peshawar tragedy.
