Pakistan finish sixth in Sultan of Johor Cup

TAMAM DAYA: Hockey team of Pakistan finished sixth (the last spot) in the Sultan of Johor Cup 2014 after facing 3-1 defeat from Malaysia at Tamam Daya Hockey Stadium on Sunday, ARY News reported.

Pakistan squared off with Malaysia in their last game today. Malaysia scored the first goal in the sixth minute when Haziq Samsul put the ball in the nets.

The hosts doubled the lead when Mohammad Najmi Farizal Jazlan converted a penalty corner. Shail Saabah scored third goal in the 32nd minute to put Malaysia 3-0 ahead.

Mohammad Naveed of Pakistan scored the only goal for Pakistan in the 4 minute to reduce the deficit a bit.

Pakistan wasn’t able to win even a single match of the event ending at the bottom of points table while Malaysia finished fifth.
