Pakistan, Mauritius agree to strengthen bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Mauritius have agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations in political, economic and other fields.

The agreement came at talks between President Mamnoon Hussain and his Mauritius counterpart Dr. Bibi Ameenah Firdaus at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad today.


Regional situation and international issues also came under discussion during the meeting.

Earlier, formal welcome ceremony for the Mauritius President was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.

President Mamnoon Hussain welcomed the distinguished guest and her nine- member delegation on arrival at President House.

National anthems of the two countries were played and a contingent of smartly turned out troops from the three services presented guard of honour to the Mauritius President.
