Pakistan names Maleeha Lodhi as its permanent representative to UN

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has appointed Maleeha Lodhi as its permanent representative to the United Nations (UN), read a Foreign Office (FO) statement on Monday, ARY News reported.

Maleeha Lodhi has twice been Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States (US), while she also served as the Pakistani High Commissioner in the United Kingdom (UK).

She holds a PhD in political science.

Ms Lodhi has also served as a lecturer at Quaid-e-Azam University and the London School of Economics.
