Pakistan, Oman agree to boost bilateral cooperation in diverse fields

They discussed entire spectrum of bilateral relations followed with a joint press stakeout.

The two sides expressed their commitment to intensify exchanges and cooperation to realize full potential of the geographical and maritime proximity.

The Adviser also met with Adviser on External Liaison, Dr. Omar bin Abdul Muinim al Zawawi and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and regional situation.

Earlier, Sartaj Aziz participated in a ceremony held to mark laying the foundation stone for the Pakistani Embassy in the Sultanate.

Meanwhile, addressing a gathering of Pakistanis in Muscat, Sartaj Aziz expressed deep appreciation for the contributions of Overseas Pakistanis in economic and social development of the country.

He shared his vision on strengthening the existing bonds of friendship with the brotherly sultanate.

There are quarter million Pakistanis residing in Oman. There are 7 schools under Pakistan School System, including school for children with special needs, where 6000 children from a range of nationalities, in addition to Pakistanis, are enrolled. There are also private schools originating from Pakistan including Beaconhouse, City School while American Lycetuff has 10 branches.
