Pakistan People’s Party to rally against government after Eid

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah has announced that his party would protest against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz after Eid-ul-Azha.

According to senior PPP leader, his party would stage countrywide protests and rallies against the Nawaz group.

Shah said PPP would inform and guide the people of Pakistan that where the government currently stands.

Maula Bakhsh Chandio, another senior member of PPP said while addressing party workers’ convention in Khairpur that a tough time for PML-N was in the offing.

“Those who believe that PPP is limited to one province only must know that they themselves actually represent a provincial party,” he said.

PPP made the announcement when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were already on the roads against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his government.

PTI said it was protesting against the government to put pressure on Pakistan’s institutions to support it uncover Nawaz Sharif’s corruption in the country.

While on the other hand, well-known cleric and PAT’s head Dr Tahirul Qadri rallying against what he called the failure of the PML-N government to deliver justice in the ‘Model Town’ firing incident in which 14 people had died and more than 100 others wounded.
