Pakistan 'A' stuns Kenya with a comprehensive win

LAHORE: Pakistan ‘A’ on Saturday comprehensively defeated Kenya by 9 wickets in the first ODI played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, ARY News reported.

Kenya, after put in to bat first, were all out for 167. They were playing with a depleted side, without players such as Collins Obuya, Tanmay Mishra, Seren Waters and Irfan Karim.

Kenyan middle order batsmen Gurdeep Singh and Nelson Odhiambo scored 55 and 44 runs respectively.

Right Arm fast bowler, Mohammad Talha and left arm spinner Raza Hassan of Pakistan ‘A’ took 4 wickets each.

Pakistan ‘A’ faced to resistance in chasing 168 runs from Kenyan bowlers with skipper Sami Aslam scored unbeaten 101. He hit 11 fours and 2 sixes.

Sherjeel Khan (8) was the only batsmen to be dismissed. One down Fazal Subhan made watchful 56* runs off 69 balls.

Pakistan chased the target in 29th over with a boundary of Subhan.

Kenya, landed in Pakistan on December 11 and will play the five ODIs between December 13 and 20, before leaving on December 21.
