Pakistan test-fires Shaheen II ballistic missile

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has successfully conducted Shaheen-II (Hatf-VI) ballistic missile, ARY News reported on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Shaheen-II missile is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads to 1,500 kilometres range.

Director General Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lieutenant General Obaidullah Khan, Chairman NESCOM Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations were present at the missile test.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have congratulated the scientists and engineers for the successful missile test.
