Pakistan test-fires Nasr Missile

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Friday conducted successful test fire of Short Range Surface to Surface Nasr Missile, which was fired from a state of the art multi tube launcher, ARY News reported on Friday.

NASR, with a range of 60 Kilometer is a quick response system, with shoot and scoot attributes.

The test was witnessed by the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Rashad Mehmood, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) Lt. Gen. Ubaidullah Khan, Chairman NESCOM, Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers from the strategic forces and scientists and engineers of strategic organizations.

CJCSC General Rashad Mehmood congratulated the scientists and engineers on this outstanding achievement.

President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in their messages congratulated the scientists, engineers and other staff for the successful test-fire of Hataf IX (Nasr) missile.
