LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan will emerge victorious in the war against terrorism, ARY News reported.

CM Punjab, speaking on Tuesday, said that terrorists will not be successful in lowering the spirits of the nation by carrying out cowardly attacks.

The chief minister said terrorists — shedding the blood of innocent civilians — will be taken to their logical end. He also said that the enemies of Pakistan don’t want the country to progress.

He said that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zahid Gondal, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ahmed Mubeen and other security personnel sacrificed their lives for the country and have set an example for others.

Sharif said that he was deeply saddened over the death of innocent civilians in the Lahore blast. He added, “The sacrifices rendered by the nation will always be remembered.”

He also said that the leadership of the country will be successful in defeating terrorism.
