According to the website, a police spokesman said the worker died as a result of an “accident injury” at a building under construction.
He said two others injured in the accident were a Pakistani and a Bangladeshi national. The official shared no further details of the accident.
“Police are investigating the incident to identify the causes and conditions that led to the death and injury,” the spokesman said.
On April 4, 2016, a 27-year-old Pakistani worker had fallen to death from the 15th floor of an under construction building in Sharjah’s Al Nahda. The deceased was identified as Faisal M.
The police were notified about the incident, after which police patrols and forensic officers were dispatched to the spot. The body was transferred to the morgue at Al Kuwaiti Hospital. The police could not find whether it was a suicide or an accident.
Officials in Sharjah cite financial problems, job dismissals and mounting loans as reasons for suicide among expatriates, said Khaleej Times.
