Two years ago, Aitzaz Hassan was standing outside his school located at Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) when he saw a suspicious person, wearing suicide jackets and explosives, close in on the educational facility.
The 15-year old boy without caring for his life managed to grab hold of the terrorist and managed to divert the suicide bomber away from the school. The explosives went off in the scuffle killing the terrorist and Aitzaz.
Aitzaz sacrificed his life so that others could live. It is unimaginable what kind of damage would the country suffer if Aitzaz Hassan would not have stopped the bomber from succeeding in his heinous mission.
He was rewarded with Tamgha-e-Jurat for his courage and valour.
Twitter salutes Aitzaz Hassan:
Twitterati started a trend named #TributeToAitzazHassan to remember his sacrifice.
