Panama leaks: Imran seeks commission under Dr Suddle

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan agreeing to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s offer on Saturday called for constituting an independent commission under ex-DG of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Dr Shoaib Suddle to probe Panama leaks, ARY News reported.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar earlier in the day stated that the government is ready hold investigations into Panama Papers claims, by any official of opposition’s choice.

To which, the PTI chairman agreed and named Dr Shoaib Suddle to probe allegations against the Sharif family in the wake of Panama leaks.

Welcoming Nisar’s offer, Imran Khan called for setting up an independent commission under Dr Suddle for this purpose.

Lauding Suddle as an expert on white-collar crime who bears good reputation, the skipper said that he (Suddle) be given authority and handed over the responsibility to investigate allegations surfacing after the Panama leaks.
