Panama Leaks: Opposition throw ‘talks offer’ to govt

SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that opposition parties are ready for talks with the government to discuss the terms of references (TORs) of the judicial commission formed to probe the Panama Leaks, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, Shah said that all the persons named in the Panama Papers will have to undergo accountability.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader said, “If Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants to escape from accountability then it is his choice.” He said that it will be a good thing if the premier presents himself for accountability.

The opposition leader went on to say that that politician does not get scared neither he panics.

He asked, “Why the government is asking to forgive those who got their loans waived off?”

Shah said that a person is elected prime minister only when the nation votes for him/her. He advised the premier to speak on the issue in the Parliament.
